This book is my first encounter with the Bulgarian literature to find a skillful writer who uses humor, the critic, and reality to create stories that make us relate. For me, it’s a magical thing. Balancing fantasy with reality is a challenging feat in writing, particularly when it comes to portraying a story. However, achieving the ideal combination leads to stories that are relatable and believable, despite being entirely fictional and full of fantasy. It’s impressive to see how this writer can take a fantastical concept and make it seem like something that could genuinely occur in real life. I think we need to do a big shout-out to the translator of this book because this book was written originally in the Bulgarian language. I did read it in Spanish because I couldn’t find the same book in English, so I decided. I’m going to give it a chance in Spanish, and I loved how the writing gave me some sense to remind me of some of the gorgeous works of Borges but they were more lyrical which made the story a fresh new thing The prose outlined in this book is truly ingenious. By utilizing innovative and creative techniques, it allows for quick and efficient prose that slides up so smooth The storytelling is simply brilliant! In the past few years, I haven’t come across anything quite like it. The author’s ability to create fantasy elements while still keeping the characters grounded in reality is simply amazing. Even though we know that these events are not real, the characters are so relatable that we can’t help but get lost in their world. The author’s ability to create such a perfect blend of fantasy and reality is truly impressive. This book includes stories with unique concepts such as a pig narrating its sacrifice during Christmas and a woman who can see the future with her right eye and the past with his left one. These stories showcase a postmodern satire with a touch of realism, making an interesting universe that I need to devour. Gueorgui Gospodinov and Maria Vitoba made such a brilliant book. This book is one of my all-time favorites, and I was hooked from the very first step. Although I initially read it in digital format, I knew I had to own a physical copy to add to my collection of books that inspire me. Now, it proudly sits on my bookshelf among other beloved books. In this blog, we believe this book “ About the story smugglers And other stories” is a solid + 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars.
