“I am Guatemalan and I have lived in England since 2015. Literature has always been one of my passions, growing up in a house where I saw my father reading. When I moved to England, after a couple of years in the medical field, I realized that I don’t only like scientific topics. I enjoy diversifying my readings across different genres, and that’s how my account was born, talking about places, art, my life in England, and my journey as a mother.
After becoming a mother, I decided to dedicate myself to reading and that’s how I started reading 100 books a year. For some time now, my IG account has focused solely on books.
Currently, I am part of a global reading community. I write literary reviews for books by different authors and on sites like NetGalley, and I am part of various ARC reader programs with publishers, collaborating with houses like Penguin Random UK, Macmillan, Harper Collins, among others.
On this blog, you will find my sincere opinions and honest thoughts on books. I have a critical mind when viewing a book as a product we consume, and all my opinions are my own responsibility and point of view.
Something that describes me very well is this paragraph: “When I grow up I want to live like Simone de Beauvoir, wake up to Drexler’s chords, write like García Márquez, love like Kundera and Keats. Sing under the moonlight like Stevie Nicks, live like the feeling of a cold morning singing ‘Vienna’ with Billy Joel while taking a small sip of coffee. Face death singing like Jeff Buckley and be reborn like Bowie.”
